I was recently a recipient of the Allergies Shaped My Life Foundation’s Basket Scholarship. I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped get this package to me, from the people who read my essay to the person who wrote the kind note inside the box! It brightened my day and reminded me that my allergy doesn’t always have to drag me down. A few weeks ago, I went to the ER for my first allergic reaction in three years and the most severe reaction I ever experienced in my life. I learned that my allergy has gotten worse with time, making it even more dangerous. That day was painful, humbling, and scary. This box of delicious snacks came at just the right time. I’m looking forward to enjoying all the goodies over some textbooks this fall, with peace of mind that these are extra safe for me! Thank you so much for your work. It has been empowering in a situation that made me feel powerless.

HE WAS SO EXCITED, I HAVE NOT SEEN HIM REACT THAT WAY SINCE HE WAS A LITTLE KID WHO STILL BELIEVED IN SANTA CLAUS!
